U.S.A. Pennsylvania

I figured I'd start this topic now since the information sessions start on the 1st of October.

Currently I'm taking AP1 this fall. The only non nursing courses I still need to take are AP 2, Micro, CIS and Diet. I hope to have them all completed before next Fall so I can focus on the nursing program if accepted.

Below are links to the 2013 and 2014 threads. Theres alot of good information in both threads about entrance requirements, insurance information, where to get your shots for cheap, info about uniforms etc. Goodluck to everybody

Hi! Im in the same situation as you. I'm attending an info session in a few weeks. Really hoping to get in. Good luck!

I am applying as well...I just received my allied health test date!

I took my test on the 18th and got 19.9 points which comes out to 2 points

i am in the process of applying as well. im very excited and anxious! Good luck to everyone!!

what was the test like? i went for the review session and they barely touched on any math!

i just took my allied health test and barely completed half of it! did you have time to finish your test for your 19.9 points? super nervous to go get my results. they told us 5 days for results to show, Im gonna try to see if it is ready on thursday!

what did they cover at the review session? any helpful tips on how to get a higher score? i have to get a 3 for my AHT to be considered for the program so a high score is a necessity! I planning on attending the next review session on Dec 2nd... @dene622

not much was covered in the review session. Basic grammar and reading comprehension for the english part.... and simple math for that part. It was basic +-x/ but you need to work through it very quickly! there are 36 math problems and only 18 minutes to answer them. there is no "1 minute warming" or anything either, so be cautious of your time! good luck! I took the test on a saturday and my results were in on tuesday

Hey future Nurses,

Does anyone know what the clinical hours and days are?

Hi I am a current CCP nursing student. CCP goes by a point system. The higher the points the better chances that you will be excepted to the program. My suggestion to you future students is to get most of your classes out-of-the-way prior to applying for the program. The amount of classes that you have completed goes towards your points. The other thing is your GPA. The higher the GPA the more points you will receive. I hope this helps. Good luck to you all!

@mssnow clinical time differ depending on the clinical site. You will have 2 days of lecture and days of clinical
