Okay, so I was going over the application for the Clackamas Community College nursing program and somewhere I missed something. I went to one of their info sessions about a year ago but don't remember much from it.
Does CCC waive the writing 121/122 requirement if you have a prior bachelor's degree? Pretty much every other nursing school in the area does, but the application doesn't say whether it's required or not. I'm hoping they do...I went to Washington State University for undergrad, and we kind of had a messed up requirement for writing.
Anyone know?

I think it's required but I've been out of the loop for a few years. In your situation I would call CCC directly and ask since you will need as many points as you can get. Good luck!

Good question, I'm interested in the answer to this as well. I wasn't planning on using my grades from my writing courses for this requirement, and planned on using my bachelor's degree instead. Every other OCNE school waives these writing prereqs so I sure hope CCC does too!
Well I called them and found out that they do NOT waive these 2 requirements with a bachelor's degree even though all other OCNE schools do.

That is really weird that they won't waive it.
Yeah, I ended up calling them too and was a bit surprised. They wouldn't even let me substitute my school's writing portfolio, which has a "pass with distinction" indicated on my transcript. I inquired about testing out of the writing requirements, and the lady said that it had to be a credited course.
I ended up not applying to CCC. Honestly, it's not worth my money to take WR 121/122 when CCC is the only school that will require me to take it.
