I got accepted to the South Campus Evening program for the Fall 2014 start! I was wondering if any nursing students out there have any helpful tips on things that should be done prior to receiving the packet from the school? I'm so nervous and my stomach still is turning because I'm not sure what to expect and I waited so long for this and don't want to fail. What is the test you have to take that you only get 2 chances to take or they kick you out...is it something that I can study now and prepare for? Please any insight to this journey would be very helpful.

Hi cole04
My name is Beth and I will be attending south campus too.
I am not positive but I think it might be the dosage test. I am going to review and do practice problems over the summer. So excited and still shocked this is happening!!!
Can't wait to meet classmates.

The tests that you must take every semester and have two chances two pass or you fail are the dosage calc test(you can easily google problems to practice this) and the ATI tests. The ATI is where we lost half of our program.I am about to graduate from allegheny evenings we started with around 44 and only 17ish will finish on time. You fail the ati twice you automatically fail the class and clinical. You can buy used ati books on amazon for cheap to study over the summer(the first test is fundamentals) or another tip is once you get your box set from the book store, use the books as an extra study reference along with class concepts. Hope this helps! And best of luck on your nursing school journeys!
