Castle Branch?

Anyone's nursing program require Castle Branch? Anyone have experience with the process? I just find it very unusual to mail in fingerprints. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but with everything that is going on in the world, I just don't feel comfortable mailing in my fingerprints. Really the whole background check process is unusual. I was reading that

they contact people such as friends and family? Can someone just explain the entire process to me if possible?

THANKS SO MUCH!

I had to use Castle Branch for my ABSN program. We didn’t have to mail in fingerprints but it is common for health associated programs to ask for such things. Considering the field is dealing with the life of vulnerable patients, I don’t think it’s unusual to ask for that. To even go further, most jobs ask you to get fingerprinted (services like eVerify). I had an in-depth background check that looked at everything from how many parking tickets you have to any felonies. I haven’t heard about the contacting of families though. That does sound weird lol.

I have no problem with an in depth background check. I’ve been a nurse for years so of course l know how vital background checks are given our profession and the huge responsibility that we carry. I just am used to getting fingerprinted at the place of employment on a machine. Mailing them in to an address and l have no idea where they are going and to who just doesn’t sit easy with me. Putting fingerprints in an envelope and dropping them off at the post office is just unsettling lol
