Case Western Graduate Entry Program Fall 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

I didn't see a thread for this year's admission cycle to CWRU's graduate entry program. Have other folks applied? If so, when and have you heard anything?

If anyone in the program comes across this thread, how do you like it?

I applied! sent in my application early january, got an email back about an interview a few weeks ago.

Best of luck to you!! Have you applied anywhere else?

Yep, I applied to SLU and Barnes in STL for absn and then the AMSN program at MGH in Boston. What about you? Have you heard back anywhere ?

I applied to the program as well. Submitted in January and heard back for an interview a few weeks ago and ended up interviewing shortly after. The person that interviewed me said it takes ~2 wks for their team to make a decision about your admission. I'll be following up with them this week. If anyone else has any updates I would love to hear about your process!

I applied to several ABSN and ELMSN programs in California, Chicago, east coast and a few others. Didn't realize how competitive they are. I initially just applied to the FNP programs at UCSF and Samuel Merritt, but got denied in December so sent out a gagillion apps after that.

Benrz, I know exactly what you mean. I think I've applied to over 16 programs all over the US (I'm based in CA). My friend who is also applying only applied to Samuel Merritt and UCSF and got denied from both. I think SM is conducting interviewed as we speak. It's good that they told you your status so quickly! I never heard back from them. I would also recommend that you consider applying to U Miami, U New Hampshire, Loyola Chicago, and U Colorado. They have upcoming deadlines.

Actually, I was interviewed at Samuel Merritt last week. (I almost fell out of my chair with excitement because I couldn't believe it.) I had applied in Sacramento, but was denied in December. You'll likely hear from Samuel Merritt in the next few weeks. Other students interviewed (you can search for the thread -- easy to find) were told they might know as soon as this week.

Are any of the programs you just mentioned entry level NP programs or just MSN?

Speaking of SM, I just received an email from them with their final decision. Looks like I was denied, but they still want to conduct a 30 min interview to tell me how I can strengthen my app which is really considerate of them, but it is a bummer! My responses from school have varied a ton which throws me off. The schools I mentioned are for both Direct Entry MSN programs (RN license in year 1 and then become an NP year 2 & 3) and Accelerated BSN programs.

I just wanted to let everyone know that decisions should be going on soon. I just got an email from the director saying that I've been accepted. Would love to hear from others if they have any news to share! I am not sure if I'm accepting yet.

I was accepted as well and plan on going!

Congrats Hannab1!!! What do you think about the fact that the program is actually a MN in Nursing? I was confused by my interviewer a while back who made it seem like you become an NP, but the director explained that it's really a Accelerated BSN translated into a Masters with a few Masters level courses. If you know more, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
