career advice

Published

hello everyone:)

So in my last post I have already stated that I'm starting community college this fall for my pre-reqs and their asn program, and then I plan on transferring to my local university into their RN-MSN program because I have an ultimate goal of going for my Pediatric NP license.

I know for sure I want to focus on pediatrics, but one thing I don't know is what specialty I would like to go into, because I think I would prefer to specialize in something rather than just doing like general or acute care. Even though there's like a bagillion specialties, I think I'm gravitating towards hematology/oncology... I know there's specializations like hematology/oncology nurses but is there anything like pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in hematology/oncology? lol what a mouthful :woot:

or do I just become a PNP with like oncology or hematology training and then my career will be based off of where I work and what I do there?

Thanks ! :)
