care map question

I'm working on a care map for a pt who was admitted with pancreatitis. For the first several days of her admission she running at about 88% without supplemental O2, and RR @25. Now sauts in 97% and rate at 18.

So the question is was the oxygen status due to inflamation from the pancreas, or pain, or being so chemically out of balance? Thanks for you help.

Look at the patient's other diagnosis. Does she have history of asthma, COPD, or CHF? If not, logically speaking, she could have been deficient in o2 because pain will cause someone to breath more shallowly. I'm not sure what the case would be for Pancreatitis. Does anyone else have more insight?
