Capstone project

Hi everyone! So here's the deal: Im about to start working on a reasearch paper for my level 3 research class. Im hoping to write this paper on a topic that I can also use for my capstone project. For my capstone project, I have to suggest some sort of practice that is not already implemented in a hospital. I am interested in the pediatric and OB field. I was also trying to think of something related to palliative care. I am HORRIBLE at coming up with ideas/topics. Can anyone help?? I was originally going to write about breast feeding vs formula, but I cant really implement something new in the hospital regarding that topic.

I think that perinatal hospice is a fascinating topic and would fit into what you are looking for. I did a research presentation on it for my OB clinical rotation.

I suggest going to the library (either physically or online) and browsing journals/articles/books on a general topic that interests you. Not only will that help you generate a list of possible ideas, it will help you find out what materials are out there to help with your project. You may even find examples of projects that you could use as a model for yours.

You want to pick a project that not only intersts you -- but also, is one for which resoureces are readily available. By browsing the literate early in your thinking process, your thinking is guided towards projects that meet both criteria.

is there a palliative care team available for parents of newborns/children? If not, what would they do?
