can i study in Mexico and work in the US

Im a legal resident in the us. I have a high school diploma and some college hrs. But im interested in taking a 2yr. Program in mexico city for the rn program. But im not sure if after im done i can just take the exam and work in the us? If u can please advise me i would really appreciated. Thanks!

Board of Registered Nursing - Licensure by Examination

You would have to meet the same educational requirements that California requires in order to take the NCLEX. I knew a person who was educated in Mexico (she was an LVN here and went there to do her RN). Unfortunately she never was able to pass the NCLEX although she met the requirements.

That's the only information I have. Hopefully someone can give you more information.
