Can someone help me decipher my TEAS test scores?

Published

I'm new to the forum and I just took the TEAS test a few days ago to try and get into my program... These are my scores along with the mean(national&program) and percentile(national&program).

Adjusted Individual Total Score: 72.7%

ATI Academic Preparedness Level: Proficient

Mean - National: 64.3%

Mean - Program: 64.9%

Percentile Rank - National: 72

Percentile Rank - Program: 73

And here is the sub-scale, if this makes a difference.

READING - Individual Score - 71.4

Mean - National=70.5 and Program=71.2

Percentile - National=49 and Program=47

MATH - Individual Score - 83.3

Mean - National=69 and Program=69.8

Percentile - National=80 and Program=80

SCIENCE - Individual Score - 58.3

Mean - National=53.6 and Program=54.3

Percentile - National=65 and Program=65

LANGUAGE & ENGLISH - Individual Score - 86.7

Mean - National=63.8 and Program=64.3

Percentile - National=95 and Program=96

Thanks in advance!

What score does your program require?

Good day KLL123:

As PurpleLover alluded, it is up to each school as to what the numbers mean to you and them. For example, I took my first TEAS V exam this past Monday. Prior to starting I was told by the proctor that if anyone was going to their nursing program, they required an overall score of 60% or higher (you got a 72.7% overall score). However, I wasn't applying to their nursing program, but one in the same county from a different school; I don't know their requirement, so I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Thank you.
