Can you help me??

Hi, I'm getting ready to start travel nursing, and I wanted to do my own research about the local pay rates of different areas (so I can recognize a good deal or not). I'm an ER nurse with 2yrs experience in a level 2. I have ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC. What's the average pay in your city??? Feel free to chime in!!!!

With two years of experience you can expect between $30-32/hour in boston, and $27-29 in the metro areas and north shore.

198 views and only 1 person replied??? Thanks NeoPediRN......come on the rest of you, I really want as much information as possible before i jump into this. thanks in advance

I work agency for LTACHs and get paid more than what was mentioned. I am not an ER nurse so I can only give you what I know from myself. I am sure you would get paid more than I would with your specialty.

But, what was posted would sound right for a person who is a permanent employee.

I forgot this was agency. Sorry. You can expect between $40-45/hour.

I agree with NeoPediRN. Worcester is similar, slightly less than Boston. However, this is for regular staff nurses; I know nothing about agency nursing.

I work at a hospital about 40 mins outside of Boston and with two years experience I am making $31/hr. When I first moved to Mass and was trying for positions with a couple of agencies, I was looking at making around $40/hr plus a per diem pay for the contract; however, there were very few bites through any of the agencies. I lucked out and got a permanent position.

A close friend of mine works for Brockton hospital as a new grad LPN making 29/hr! idk but it may help that she is tri-lingual. I would asume at least 32/hr for 2 years experiance in Boston.
