Can anyone answer my TEAS test schedule question?!!?!!

So here is the thing. I register my teas early and I’m not ready at all, I was wondering if I missed the teas, will I be penalized? Will I be able to retake teas?

Thank you

This depends entirely on the place you scheduled to physically take the test at. You’ll have to check with them if you can reschedule. See FAQ 10. https://atinursingblog.com/10-frequently-asked-questions-ati-teas-exam/

I know at my location you can not reschedule and there’s no “penalty” for not showing up, but you lose your money, and depending on the fees you paid that’s a lot! Mine was $92 just for the exam.

Here’s a suggestion though. PLEASE make sure you check with YOUR program before taking my advice, this advice is based on my school’s policy.

My top two schools do not penalize if you have to retake the teas for a better score. Assuming you would also be out nearly $100 for a no show, take the test, ready or not. If you have to retake it because you didn’t score well enough, at least you got some valuable practice and didn’t completely lose out on the money you paid. You’ll also walk away knowing exactly what you need to study for next time.

Do check first though. Maybe you can reschedule at your location and keep your money. Maybe your school only accepts your first attempt. My advice, again, is based on my situation.
