Calling all TX and TN nurses!

Nurses Career Support

Published

I am an experienced ICU nurse and my husband is an experienced ER nurse. We are thinking of relocating and are interested in TX and TN. We have never been to either state. Any suggestions on locations and hospitals we should consider?

St. Joseph in Bryan is actually looking for experience CCU nurses for nights. I'm not sure if a sign in bonus is still being advertised or not, but you should check it out.

Are you going alphabetically through the US? - ;)

Texas has many different regions - each with its own unique characteristics. It would be better if you could give some information about what is important to you. Are you looking for an area with a lot of outdoor recreation? Beach? Are you keen on professional sports? Performing arts? Do you want to be in a large city? What type of geography? Woodsy? Desert? Coastal? How do you feel about diversity?

If you're interested in a major urban area, I would suggest obtaining your specialty certifications. This will really enhance your marketability. You'll also need a state license for recruiters to take you seriously.

Best of luck to you both.
