CA State Nursing Boards Application Process for Applicant who has prior conviction

Published

I recently graduated from a BSN program in December 2014. Today i submitted all application requirements including documents from a prior conviction (DUI). I talked to CA Boards today and they said an extra 90 days for this...So a total of 5 months! That its under control of the FBI and so they cant do anything.

Meanwhile last week I had an interview for a job that wants me to start March 30th.

My questions:

1. Does it really take the CA Boards 90 days to process prior conviction documents on top of the 2 month long application processing? If so, is it possible to contact specific board members to speed up the process so that I could make the March 30th deadline? (anyone to call/meet with fbi or boards?)

Sadly I have too much hope :sorry:
