Hi all, I know that this topic has been around and read some old post too, but I would like to know the most recent update.

I am a graduating BSN student from Tennessee but was originally from CA and would like to move back to my home. I know that I can take the NCLEX for CA or go through endorsement. However, while I was looking through the application for taking the test, the website mentioned that the program needs to have all courses that satisfies the CA board. This makes me very nervous. My program is accredited by the Tennessee Board of Nursing and CCNE but was not sure if every class would satisfy the requirement. I originally thought accreditation by the biggest nursing organization CCNE is good enough but by reading the requirements makes me worried as the CA website did not specify the requirements. I am sure that I am not the first person to go through this, please share your experience! Thanks!

The CA BON will require your transcripts for evaluation. I went to school in Texas and had no difficulty endorsing. I do hear of ltroubles with foreign graduates ...and occasionall issues with science courses that lacked a lab component.

Hi there, thanks for the quick reply. I wonder what you mean by foreign graduates, you mean like international? I felt that science courses should be fine because most US BSN programs requires science courses that comes with lab. Was your school also accredited by CCNE?

Yes, I meant international. I honesty have no idea who my school was accredited by. It was community college in Texas.
