I've recently been licensed as an LVN in NJ and am in the process of getting reciprocity for CA. I sent out my application with the $75 application fee. I need to get licensed as soon as possible so I prefer to not wait til I get a response in the mail. Does anyone know if I could send the Initial License Fee ahead of time to shorten my wait? Do I need to wait for the notification from the BVNPT?

I'm licensed in Ohio, moved to Ca. in September...I sent all my info and fee (including the hard cards for fingerprinting) in August. I sent the BVNPT notice that I had moved here, in October I was notified that I had to use Livescan since I was now a resident...I did that, then....I received notice that my license had been approved and I now had to send the initial license fee....I finally received my license on December 4.
It won't happen in a hurry, that's for sure!

Caliorinia is a very slow state for LVNs, prepare for a long wait.
