CA BVNPT Processing Times

Has anyone received NCLEX pass/fail results from California BVNPT recently and, if so, what was the wait time? How long to receive a license after that?

I graduated from my LVN program on January 19, 2013 and my application to the board went in within 3 days. I didn't receive an authorization to test until the last week in April. I did the NCLEX PN this afternoon, and now I am being told that I will not receive my pass/fail notification from CA BVNPT for a minimum of 3-4 weeks. At that point I have to pay them yet another fee and wait for them to issue me a license.

5+ months to license from the time of graduation seems a bit excessive to me.

California is really back up right now. I also had to wait three months for my ATT.

I waited about three months from graduation for my eligibility to test. Took NCLEX two weeks later and received a letter that I had passed after an additional two weeks. Received my license four weeks after that. So, five days shy of five months for me.

Can I know how long did you wait for the BVNPT charge your check? I'm so frustrated that when I sent my check for my license, its been almost 4 weeks and BVNPT hasn't been charging my bank for the check I sent. Not I am wondering if they received it. The stupid thing I did is I didn't make it as a registered mail. Thank you in advance for your response

Same here,I already sent them the check and its been 4wks.now don't know if they receive it or not..:(I tried calling them but can't get in..don't know how long to wait..;(

BVNPT is overwhelmed right now with extended processing times between the influx of applications transferring in from IEN's denied for RN due to concurrency issues and all the newly graduated vocational nursing students...unfortunately the answer is sit and wait. I've heard the wait is 6-8 weeks or longer as of late

Aww. That sucks. I really want to apply but I don't have my license yet. They should add more people in the Boards so we'll all be happy

I wait for 4 weeks before they cash my check, and then 2 months, almost to get approval called to pay for ATT, and getter 15 min after i pay, some of my classed mates, pAy earlier then me, but still waiting for ATT,,,, CA very suck right know, i called the board while i was waiting they said that they short on staff due to cut on budget

Hi Aleska25-

I used Hurst review, Saunders PN and exam cram. Did about a hundred questions every day.

Hope that helps.

HI EVERYONE!

1 SIMPLE TIP in checking if YOU PASS/FAIL the exam ????

-even after you took the exam you can check it..

-you can check it if you only have online account with pearsovue

This is how it goes:

1 log in to your account

2 order the exam again

3 then click checkout

if the computer says Its still processing ==YOU PASS

IF the computer asks you about your CREDIT CARD INFO =

YOU FAIL!!!

it really works!

goodluck!
