We are in alaska and I have been working on applying to the BSN program here. I am currently the first alternate but the class only takes 16 students, is filled and starts september 5. We could be moving in 2 years so there is no use in me applying next year and I need to start looking at other schools. I want my BSN but lots of programs are for the associates. I already have an Associates in social sciences and 119 college units total including all my nursing pre and co reqs. If I get my ADN will I have to retake many of those classes when doing an RN-BSN program or will it be shortened since I have all the general ed done? Also how is financial aide affected if I do an associates program and not a bachelors? I have been working on this 4 years now and my husband is military so its been a struggle with moving and different programs having different requirements. I am hoping someone drops last minute and I get in but not counting on it
