The first thing you need to do is check out the program requirements at the school you plan to go to. Better yet, make an appointment with an advisor in the nursing department or registrars office. Some of your general education credits may be transferable to another program of study and some may not, but there WILL be a whole new list of specific gen ed requirements and prerequisite courses unique to a nursing degree, and that depends even further on whether you plan to apply to an LPN or BSN program.

Best first step you can take is call the college you are planning to apply to and ask to make an appointment with someone who can tell you exactly what you'll need for a new degree.
