i was all set to start working in january as an LPN and starting at helene fuld next year after i get a year of working experience, since i am in new york. however, i just found out i'm going to be moving to california. does anyone know of any programs there that are comparable to Helene Fuld, or don't have many prerequisites before starting the program? I obtained my LPN license through a technical school (BOCES) so the school would have to accept those credits......thanks so much!:redpinkhe

If you are going to be in Southern California, Ventura College had an LVN-to-RN bridge program as recently as 2005. I don't know if it is still around. San Joaquin Valley College is a private LVN-to-RN bridge program in California's Central Valley. West Coast College has several campuses throughout Southern California.
Unfortunately, many of the LVN-to-RN bridge programs in California are being closed down for a variety of reasons. It is one of the most difficult states for an LVN to bridge to an RN.
