break

So, I definitely plan to continue taking the prereqs to get into nursing school, but for now I am taking a year long break to engage in this life skills program in California (near LA, right now I'm in Florida). I think it would benefit me greatly for nursing school. My question is: what could I do in the meantime to prepare or continue to prepare for nursing school?

Just a question, what is a life skills program?

I would strongly suggest either getting any kind of nurses' aide job (nursing home, home health, hospital, group home) or volunteering in such a position. You'd be surprised how many people find that nursing is not really for them, once they have some actual contact with the system, and sometimes find their expectations were unrealistic. Not to discourage you, though, but it would be better to find out now, before you put too much time and money into the deal.
