I am 26 when I was 16 I was arrested for uttering forgery since than I have only had traffic violations. I have been wanting to go to school for nursing for years and I finally decided to try because I owe that to myself. I want to start as an LVN. I'm in Texas and their is a school here called chamberlain college and they have a 3 year BSN program I'm highly interested in also but I was so scared of being declined I never really tried. I have started everything I need to for an application to San Jacinto or Chamberlain. Any advice ??

Double check the wording on the BON's website regarding whether the offense you're describing is something that will delay or prevent a license. Was this sealed since you were a minor? If not, can you find out if it can be expunged? That's probably a lawyer phone call. You should talk with the recruiters at the colleges you're interested in attending. The last thing you want is to put out money and find out you can't get a license or your licensing is delayed.
