Hello everyone!
I am starting the CNA classes through BOCES on October 25th. I was just wondering what the day to say classes are like. I will attend M-F from 830am to 3:00PM. Do they make you wear scrubs? If so, do the colors vary? Also is their a graduation ceremony for CNA's?
Thank you

I went to a BOCES CNA class. What state do you live in? The hours are the same that I attended.
I live in New York. I am going to Orange Ulster Boces
OK that's where I went in Middletown. First part of the day you'll spend in the classroom mostly going over your homework. After that you'll be in the lab learning and practicing your skills. The teacher will order scrubs (pant and top) the first few days of class and you'll have them to wear for your for your last week which is clinicals and you have to wear them for your state test. My class worn pink tops and white bottoms but the instructor mentioned she might change the colors. While you're at BOCES you can wear comfortable clothes. There was no big ceremony but there was a guest speaker at the end of the class and a certificate of completion was given along with your grades. A few words of advice: Don't be late and don't miss class or you'll have to make up what you missed. Be prepared for a lot of reading. If you do all the homework it will be easier on you. I had a great teacher. You will need a watch with a second hand and a pair of white comfortable shoes to wear in the lab and for clinicals also so you might want to shop for them now. I met some great people. Have fun and if you need any help just give me a hollar.
Thank you so much for such an informative response. I can't wait to start the classes. I will more than likely have a question or two when the classes get closer, or start. =) Thanks a bunch again.
