Board of Nurses changed Rules?

A good friend told me yesterday that his cousin recently came back from Cebu City Philippines and was able to apply and now eligible to take the Nclex, now currently reviewing. How true is this? Because 3 years ago, 2011 when I first applied, I received a letter stating that I was concurent and not eligible to take unless completed major classes within Ca accredited schools. Unfortunately Ive lost hope to pursue Nursing and now studying a different major in health technology field.

Very true.

Have you had the chance to read all the issues facing the thousands of stranded CA PH applicants in these various threads? Since Nov. 2011, the enforcement date of the CA concurrency rules, only a handful of PH applicants have made it thru the system.

The same issues hold true for those trying to endorse into CA, one recent poster got the CA license (endorsed), got a CA job, only to be asked to return the license (due to a clerical error and possibly a concurrency problem) or face other legal actions if not given back within a week's time.

In the States, it's a privilege to be a nurse (to get licensed) and NOT a right.

thank you so much. I think this will be harder for my part. I graduated with the old curriculum in 2011. :(
