Prereqs 4.0 and overall 3.9 I originally planned on applying for.evening so ended up doing more than I needed smh

Congratulations for all of you!!

I picked up my package today. I am in for day program. If any of you haven't picked it up yet, I am putting out some information that might be helpful.

So, the orientation( mandatory) is on January 10th@11:00 am.

Uniform fitting- January 16th 3:30 pm-6:30 pm( online order option also available)

BMCC has CPR classes. Next CPR class is January 20th- 9:00 am to 3:00 pm(phone: 212-346-8410)

There are other places too.

Then the medical forms to be filled up by your healthcare provider, drug test, criminal background check,HIPPA certificate.

Once you gathered all of these documents, you must submit them to Castle Branch site by uploading. (instruction is with the package and also under nursing department on bmcc website)

Then the books list. I checked with the school book store.

Elsevier Simchart, Fundermental of Nursing(9th edition) by Potter & Perry, Also by same authers Clinical Nursing Skills and Technique, including some software - all in one package cost $ 405 ( my heart almost stopped).

Then some more books and online accesses to more products and services ( for example: Nursing Central- softwear). I did not even ask the book store.

I hope this information might be helpful to someone. Anyway, I am not purchasing anything until after the orientation. Approximate cost estimation is $ 1,200.

Congrats to everyone that got in! I was able to listen to a voicemail from Mr. Sierra right now saying that I got into the evening program. I am away from the country and will be back on Wednesday evening.

Your orientation is on Wednesday 630 pm, it is.mandatory but you are allowed a representative. Give them a call

I bought the books, but not able to get online access. Elsevier is requires Instructor's course ID. I could not find this code among any of the papers from Nursing Department package. If anyone with this information, please help! I also emailed the professor B----.

The other information that is not clear to me is lab attire. I know for the clinical sites we must wear BMCC nursing scrubs. I am not sure what was the dress code for Lab.

For the lab attire its the same as clinical- BMCC nursing scrubs.
