For those who have experienced each type of Foundations of Nursing scheduling do you prefer the Block Schedule where the entire class, lab, and skills are lumped into (8)-(10) credits, or do you prefer the Segmented schedule where the class is (5) cr, and the lab is (3), and skills (1) credit. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each. Furthermore, is it better to have Maternal, Child, and Psychological Nursing all in the first year, and then hone the skills, or to have Mental, and Maternal the second year. Do you think that one method will produce better NCLEX results?

i had nursing lecture lab and clinicals all completely seperate.....
for example....
lecture 3 days a week for 2 hours lab two days a week for two hours and clinicals 2 days a week for 8 hours.
This worked out well for me. I passed nclex first attempt.
