Has anyone heard of/taken the BKAT (basic knowledge assessment test) for critical care nurses? I have to take it for a new job and am wondering if I need to prep/study, how much, how difficult, etc. I am a competent SICU and now ER nurse for 4 years, knowledgable~are my experience and education enough to pass or do I need to cram? The nurse recruiter who hired me said that if I study and feel confident with the book Passing CCRN that I will be fine~~YIKES! If I were, I'd be CCRN! While I am a strong CC nurse, I have not done the nitty gritty book stuff in a while. Any input is appreciated.
