BIG assignment due next week and need opinions from nurses!!

hey all!!

i live in belgium and am studying to be an rn and we now have an assignment that is worth half the points of our grade for this class. we have to write out what a good nurse is, our vision of nursing. i know what mine is but would like one or two sentences from nurses on what they think a good nurse is. i would really appreciate this a bunch!! feel free to email me too if that's easier. any help would be appreciated!! thanks!!

I believe that being a good nurse begins with being a strong patient advocate. Sometimes we are the only ones that a patient has speaking up for their best interest.

A good nurse listens to the patient and the family in order to ensure the patient receives the best possible care. A good nurse always has that impending-doom radar on to catch problems when they're still fixable.

i think also to be a good nurse means keeping your personal views on things like (pain control or assisted suicide) to yourself and not put it on your patients or families. never push your beliefs on anyone else, let them make an informed decision.:nono:
