Hello everyone!
I'm very excited because I got a call from PBISON today to set up an interview about my application. This means that I passed the NLN exam! And from what I remember from the open house an interview means that it's pretty likely you will get into the program. Has anyone had an interview at Beth Israel? If so, can you give me any idea what to expect?
I can't wait!
Thanks

Congrats on landing the interview w/ beth israel. I was wondering how long you studied for the NLN? I am thinking of applying to beth israel. Please advise.
That's a great question. I had the review books for about 2 months before the test date, but I didn't really seriously study until the week before. I had both NLN's book and Barron's. I liked Barron's for the way it was set up, but it lacked the "meat of content" in the Science section. There were a lot of science questions that weren't even remotely touched on in the Barron's book.
I recommend taking a few of the NLN test exams and then focusing on whichever sections you didn't do as well in. Science was my weakest so that's where I did most of my studying.
Good luck!

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE YOU WANT TO BE A NURSE?
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF 10 YEARS FROM NOW?
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE BETH ISRAEL?
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SUBJECT?
HOW ARE YOU GONNA PAY FOR SCHOOL? SUPPORT SYSTEM?
WHO INFLUENCE YOU THE MOST IN YOUR DECISIONS?
.....so far these are all i could remember. :)

I figured they would ask some of the same questions from the essay. Do they throw any situational questions at you, like your a nursing student and the patient does X, what do you do? I was reading the Interview sticky in the forums here and saw that some places ask that.
So, you interviewed at Beth Israel and ended up at LICH? Was it because it was closer to where you live or because you like the program/faculty better?
I really appreciate your help!

i live in new jersey!! :) yeah i think i like it better because its not that stressfull and competitive. the instructors really help you one on one if you have any thing that you aren't comfortable of. :) plus they are sooo flexible with the schedule. and oh, no they didnt ask situational questions. :)
