what's the best way...

I am an PRN at a local facility but have been consulting to a cool software company that has developed a product I actually believe in and can see it benefiting our nursing profession. The application combines scheduling functionality and instant automated communication like text messaging, email and calling.

Without going into more boring details, what do you guys think the best way would be for them to get the message out to other facilities - nursing homes, hospitals, etc... that such a service exists and could be a big help. All their early adopters seem to love it, but not many more places even realize this exists. So what's the best way to get the message out there about this?

Thanks!!

It sounds like you need a research project! Develop a project that demonstrates the utility of this computer program -- set it up to work in practice against a control group that's not using the program. Then, publish your findings and get your findings into all the trade mags!

I'm a HUGE advocate for Nursing Research. I like the idea of letting the evidence speak for itself! :specs:

They need an experienced person to handle marketing and sales. I am on this site because I am in sales and management and starting nursing school in the fall. I'm so glad that I can finally answer a question posted here!

I am actually in the staffing business and think that a contract employee with sales and marketing experience is a good thing to consider. This will allow you to get expertise to bring your product to the market without having to hire an employee. Another thought is contacting a company that does third party sales and marketing.

I often find that the creative minds behind development do not have the experience to effectively promote their products. Partnering with an expert will give them the best chance of getting in front of the right people. At the very least I would get an intern to do market research to identify prospects.

This sounds exciting, good luck!
