Hello!
I'm looking into practice books to prepare for the NCLEX. I heard Kaplan books are good... Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for what book to get and if attending Kaplan's review course is worth the money?

I think you first have to decide whether you need to focus on studying content or strategizing (answering questions & reading rationales) or both. For myself, I felt that I needed help with content more than with strategizing, so I bought the Hogan book and Saunders book. Both were great, but I preferred Hogan simply because it highlighted frequently tested content in the chapters. I also bought the Kaplan book that I read through once. Like I said, I focused more on content than questions, so I didn't find Kaplan to be that helpful. However, I know that a lot of people have used and like it. If you need help with strategizing and answering questions, Kaplan is definitely the way to go. Good luck!

Elsevier adaptive quizzing I found to be helpful(Its online). Our school trailed it this semester and it was freaking sweet. It is $99 bucks, but it has different study modes and was convenient because you could take it anywhere.

I did hurst online and live.... I thought it was fantastic. I did the live review one month before my test and then spent the 4 weeks prior going over and over the online one till I could almost say it all on my own... Lol. Passed the first time! Good luck!
