Besides Hunter College Nursing Program

Published

hello.

i am applying to hunter's nursing program. would any one happen to have any statistics about acceptance rates, NLN scores or an approximation of the lowest possible GPA you need to get accepted? was anyone accepted to Hunter College's nursing program. if you do not mind, can you please email me the GPA you were accepted by and/or NLN score?

i have a 3.4 and i'm extremely worried that it will not be enough to get in.

alternatively, does any one have suggestions for alternate schools with a similar BSN program that i can apply to along with Hunter? Thank you all so much. Please email me with any information you may have.

Specializes in Dialysis.

I believe Hunter is the BSN of what BMCC is to the ADN in Cuny schools. I believe the GPA now is 3.75. But Wagner in Staten Island is easy to get in. All you need is a 3.0

People have gotten in with 3.1 in Hunter. Your score is based 50/50 on GPA and NLN score. Your 3.4 is strong enough if your NLN is good.

thankyou . that helps. i appreciate it. :)

Actually, I know that the last person who got in, who was on the waiting list, had a 3.0 GPA 2 years ago. But bear in mind they calculate your GPA not based on your performance at Hunter only, but all the courses you have accumulated, even from overseas. They have a mysterious system of translating the credits, but that's what they do.
