BCTC 2014

Does anyone know if they have been accepted yet? I just checked my SAS account and next to "Accepted?:" it says "Yes" with no Alt number. I don't trust this, I've just emailed the Cooper campus coordinator to validate this. Anyone in the same boat? We can be delusional together, I'd love to chat!

That means you were accepted and aren't on the alternate list. That's all mine and my fellow classmates said last year when we were accepted.

Congrats on getting in!!!

Thank you so much! I want to see the letter in my hands, I wish I knew more people going this year. Have any summer reading advice or any advice in general? I have Fundamentals Success from Davis and Fundamentals of Nursing vol 1 and 2 (all 3 were less than $10 on ebay). I'm still shocked I got in after seeing all those people in the conference room, I don't think they had as many applicants this year after posting the ranking criteria.

I was told we had around 1000 for 2013 admission, but I'm not sure if that's Cooper and lawrenceburg or just Cooper.

I didn't really prep very much for my first semester. I work at UK, and for the most part what we covered in fundamentals was what I do as a tech. I would recommend getting a good fluids and electrolytes book, because I think that was the hardest test we had, and that's definitely information that carries over for the rest of the program.

Thank you for the heads up. I'll be taking my CNA exam soon and was hoping to get on at UK or the VA as a tech as well. As for that 1000 figure, i'm almost certain it was not even close to that this time around. My application was processed in less than a week and I turned mime in pretty close to the deadline and there was only one person doing them this year.

Do you find working and going to school to be overwhelming? I have to work (no family, just really don't want to do loans) and I'm a bit worried about this. Does UK work with your schedule at all? I've had to quit jobs before that just would not bend, and school will always win for me.
