BC patch - 3 times the risk of clots

Have any of you heard about this? There was an article in the Sunday paper about the birth control patch. According to the article, women on the patch are three times more likely than bcp users to suffer from blood clots. I guess there have been several deaths from stroke and heart attacks of low risk patch users.

Anyone else heard about this? This was the first I'd heard anything bad about the bc patch. Darn too, because I really liked it.

I read an article in the paper also (I think mine was in Saturday's paper.) The stories about these poor women were very sad. I didn't realize the risks for blood clots were so much greater with the patch.

I wore the patch for 2 years and loved it. The only reason I stopped was I went over the weight limit and began to break through bleed. WOW, Im kinda glad I got fat. I knew that fat would come in handy some day.
