Hello everyone,

I am creating this thread because I would like to connect with students that got accepted into Barry's Nursing program for the Fall 2016. I also got accepted to the Baptist Scholars Program. Hope to hear from you guys soon!

Good Luck!

Congrats on being accepted to the program, and to the baptist schoolarship!

I'm starting this fall as well, but I did not apply to the Baptist schoolarship because it's to far from my house, so I will be attending the main campus.

Awesome congrats to you too for getting accepted into the program. For me Barry is further from my house. Baptist is only 30 mins away. I am so nervous and excited to start!

I know!!...I'm super excited and scared to death!!! Lol....I still have to go and take the EAT test, I dont see the point after they started using the kaplan, but we have no choice !...I will call monday to schedule an appointment, did you already take it?...

  • Author

Yes I already took it. I said the same thing about taking it after taking the kaplan. It is very fast paced so make sure you utilize your time accordingly or you will be running out of time at the end. There is 3 sections: Vocabulary, Reading and an Essay. Get in contact with them to schedule as soon as you can I think they only have a few sessions left before the semester begins.

Thanks for letting me know!!..I will try to call tomorrow. For the essay, they give prompts to write about?

  • Author

Yes about 4 to choose from. The topics are good and easy to write about.

Did you already order the books? I found all of them on amazon, but I have a friend, who will be starting the third semester this fall, and she told me to wait for the professors because sometimes they allow the use of old editions, and sometimes they even use different books.....

Not yet I am in the process of doing so. Jason said that the math book has to be new because of the access code. Did he tell you that too?

Yes, he said that we need the access code for math. I will wait untill the last week before the classes start to buy the books, just in case I need to return some of them...

What about the flu shot?...We need to wait until

the last one comes out in August right?...I have everything else done, except for the flu shot and the cpr class that I will be taking August 26.

I'm so happy I found you because I'm so lost!...All of the people I know choosed to go to Miami Dade program.

I'm scheduled for CPR on Sept 2nd. Yes we have to wait till the flu shot comes out to get it, call where you're getting it to see when they will have it available. Everything on Complio is due on Sept 15th. I did my drug screen, fingerprints and background check and doing my physical on Tuesday. Im glad you found this thread as well! í ½í¸ Did you register for the classes and got your student email as well?

Yes, I have my classes, they put me on section 1, I still need the biomedical ethics class...do you know if we can register for that class ourselves?... When I went to the group registration one of the advisors said that this class was not open yet...

They had placed me in Section 2. Since I am going to be taking my classes at Baptist my schedule has changed . I will be going to the main campus like 5 times during this whole semester. They had placed me in Bio-Medical Ethics for Tuesdays 1-4pm at Barry so you should be able to register for it. Go speak with the registrar.
