I am hoping to submit my application within the next week or so for Banner Nurse Fellow's, and was wondering if anyone could help. I am relying a great deal on my essays to help me be considered for this program which I really want to get into. I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree, however, my grades for my sciences nor my Net test results are anything to brag about:uhoh3: so any advice would be greatly appreciated:yeah:

Crystal, With two degrees and life experience you must bring some great skills you can leverage for Nursing. Even if you have no medical background, what about volunteer experience, assisting your family, holding your friends hand while she had a baby. Answer questions with experiences that demonstrate your great qualities, caring, compassion for others and why you will be such a great canidate for them to see. Also, I've seen it written everywhere stay within the space they give you, attaching a second page means that much more for them to read. They must read ZILLIONS of applications, be clear, concise and above all be You. Good Luck and congrats on getting this far.:)
Thank you so much for your response. My degrees are in a totally different field, and I guess that's why I was a bit discourage with these essay questions because I was sure there are a ton of people who have less and education and way more healthcare experience than myself. I am going to write them out this weekend. Once again, thank you:lol2:

I'm in the nurse fellows right now at MCC and I thought that they discontinued the program and ours was the last group? Maybe its just a rumor? But as for the written essay part and for the NET test, my grades in the reading part weren't anything to be proud of either. Banner is huge on their mission statement!! I would read that and incorporate it into your written statements...Thats what I did and got an interview right away! Good luck it is an awesome program!!
Thank you for responding. I haven't heard anything about it being cancelled as of yet. I do know they cancelled the informational session for both January and February, but when I went to the informational session in December, they didn't say anything about it being cancelled. That would be a real bummer:crying2: I have tried to email them to see if they would tell me directly if it's true or not, just have to wait and see:confused:
