Backing out of Contract

Any idea what to expect if I choose to back out of a contract prior to starting the position?

Hello,

Most agencies will understand is the impression I'm under because life happens. I would look over your offer letter to make sure there's nothing in the fine print about their being repercussions for cancelling.

In this situation, I feel like it always says to be honest with your agency representative and let them know the issues you are having with the contract before it gets to signing. If family things or issues out of your control happen where you cannot do the contract - there's nothing you can do about it and hopefully the will understand.

The worst that can happen is to be blacklisted from a site, but I have only heard of that when individuals have stopped midcontract (in rare cases). I stopped a contract in the middle with no repercussions.

With that being said, the travel agency does make a note of your termination of the contract - so you just cannot make it usual think or they will notice.

It's all about respect and keeping your word, but life happens and they will understand ? Best of luck
