Hi im a cna and been one for 5 years . however i have charges that i was never convicted of and i still was able to get my cna lis in 2010. Now i have applied for a hospital in enviormental svcs here in tampa and Its to get my foot in the door because Im in school for nursing preq. Im scared my background will get denied. It has never been denied for any cna job. Im bitting my fingers waiting on a background check. What do they look for help please

I've never heard of Baycare Hospitals. However, most pre-employment criminal background checks are at the state level as well as the federal level. This the reason you are asked for the last five to seven years of home address history prior to the check.

Does this mean i will get denied . i have noy yet been denied at nursing homes but this is a hospital and im freaking out now

I believe for employment background checks potential employers can only see convictions and not arrests. State boards can see everything.

So i got my background and the job will c everything but it all shows not convicted now waiting on the hospital to make a decision . thats what vackground agency told me .im really trying to stay calm and believ i will get it. Especially if i was not convicted of anything
Hello everyone i got the job!!!! Im so happy she said for my rn program with university south florida will b ok as well and charges i got inwas not convicted of!!!! Thank the lord above i prayed so hard for this i work for a hospital !!!!!!!
