background check

I recently got a second chance at my nursing education. ( I had to leave my senior year because my disability was active) I am concerned because on my background check there is a disorderly conduct charge and a summary charge of harassment. This all stems from when my disability was active adn I was taking a final where I became visibly anxious. I was asked to leave and I asked why? I kept taking my final. The next thing I knew the police were there escorting me off campus. Later after the ordeal, I called the test center to clarify what happened and there was no one there so I left a message, it cut off and I had to leave another message. Later I was told I was being charged with harassment. I was later so disgusted that they were unsympathetic with my disability, that I took a degree in Liberal Studies and never finished my nursing. Now I have a school who will let me finish but I am afraid of what to say regarding my background check. Can this prevent me from being a nurse? Any way of explaining it better?

I'm glad you've been given a chance to get back into nursing school. However, we can't answer legal questions. Please contact your state board of nursing.
