I've been an LPN for nearly 13 years and have experience in med-surg, telemetry, OR, LTACH, and private duty home health. I'm finally about to start working on prerequisites to start work on my associate degree in nursing. Any suggestions for someone who's been out of school for so long? My wife is incredibly supportive and we have the financial resources for me to work part time while in school.

I think once you are back into the swing of things, you will be fine. As an adult you know yourself best & your studying capabilities. The biggest impact is you won't have to worry so much about finances & working full time while aiming for good grades. For me this is the toughest battle overall. I am handling it all by myself & it isn't easy but I am managing. Good luck to you & I am sure you will be fine.
