Baby Stools

i am not sure if i am posting this in the correct forum, if i am not i apologize.

lately my sister and i have noticed that her son (22 month old boy) tends to let out a whitish/gray liquid when he releases his stools. we are not sure if it is before or after he goes since he is still in diapers.

is this normal? what can cause this? thanks!

Are you asking for a medical opinion? Unfortunately this forum can't provide that, or advice, as explained in our Terms of Service (link at the bottom of the page). Your sister should take her baby to the pediatrician and take a diaper with the evidence in it too.

No I am not asking for medical advice...I guess I should have stated if this was normal in the sense that has it happened to anyone before? She is taking him to the doctors. I was just curious because the only time I have seen that is when a dog releases their anal sacs.

I can't say that I've ever seen what you described. I've seen a lot of very umm.. interesting things in kids' diapers, but not that.
