ASU CEP Program

Published

Hello,

I am planning on applying for the ASU CEP Program in either the Fall 2014 or Spring 2015. I will have a 3.45 GPA once I am finished with this semester and will be taking my HESI test by the end of this month. Does anyone have any advice on how competitive the program? Or there experience through the application process. I am nervous that my GPA alone won't be enough to compete in the program. I was thinking of retaking BIO 205 in order to raise my GPA if i don't get accepted in the fall (since ASU now allows retakes).

Good luck to everyone!

I just got accepted into the CEP/NAU nursing program starting in June. I know when I applied in Feb it was very competitive. Try to do well on the Hesi A2 and I noticed that a lot of people applying had there AGEC certificate or AA degree which gives you a point more. The next application session for the Spring 2015 is May 20,21. Have you gone to an information session yet?

Hello Aimeem, Did you ever take your Hesi A2 exam? Have you gotten on the Maricopa nursing waiting pool yet?

Thanks for your feedback! I have not yet taken the HESI But i am taking it sometime next month! I went in to the information sessions last year towards the middle of the fall semester. They never went into detail regarding the application process however. If i wanted to apply for next spring do you know when the applications would be due? I have not yet gotten into the nursing pool for maricopa only because i have not yet taken the HESI.

Thanks again!!

The next application session to apply is May 20, 21 for the Spring 2015 semester. If you have everything done and just need to take the Hesi I would take it and get on the Maricopa waiting list and than apply. If not the next application after that is in Feb. for the Fall 2015 semester.

Thats great to know! I will def try and take my test and hopefully do okay on it! I just talked to an advisor from ASU and she's looking into calculating my GPA! So exciting. If not then i guess ill have to wait till the next round :/

I think your GPA will be fine. Don't worry to much about the test it is not bad just brush up on your fractions and conversions for the math portion. Good Luck:) Let me know if you get to the application session in May and if you need anything let me know.
