I personally don't think the nursing code of ethics pertains to customer service, or at least I think it's poorly worded. My code of ethics pertains to what is best for the patient, which has the aspect of working with the patient and the patient desires and goals.

Exactly. That's the problem. As for the tutors I have, they are not around to help and told me to do it and that's it.

Compare and contrast autonomy with "the customer is always right." Consider a patient who is altered in some fashion... or kid or someone else with a DPOA.
