They changed their admissions for 2019 to be more holistic. In the past, they were VERY GPA focused. The volunteer experience and work will definitely help you. Last year I was waitlisted and then denied, but told to reapply for 2019 since it changes. Best of luck! I think it is worth a try. Very competitive program....Have your tried U of D mercy? They enroll a few times per year.
Hi!
did any one get into the nursing program? I got accepted to the CD2 program Spring/Summer 2020 and would like advice. How is the program overall. The area. I live on the west coast and people are trying to convince me not to go to that school because Detroit is “dangerous.” Please help.

Hello!
I apologize for the late response. Did you get in? I ended up getting my acceptance letter on March 31st. When I was applying I read on one of the treads that if you meet the minimum GPA requirement your application is automatically looked at without looking at the GPA itself. I was very thankful for this as my overall GPA was not competitive at all. I'll keep up with this thread so please feel free to keep asking questions and if you get in I can be a resource for you.
