I am currently taking some pre-req classes for the Accelerated BSN program and would appreciate any advice for applications, GPA requirements, what I can do to improve my application, yada yada... :)
Here's some information to aide in your advice!
I currently hold a BS in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience. My undergrad GPA was 3.5. The Nursing program I am interested in (IUPUI) uses only classes needed for that program as your new cummulative GPA (as of now 3.9). I just finished two summer classes (A&P and Microbiology) and received an A in both so it should remain the same. I still need to take the second level A&P and Advanced Physiology prior to submitting my application to the ABSN program.
Wow that was long, so any way, the plan is to get my BSN/RN in two years, work in a hospital setting for two years (preferably ICU/trauma), then apply to CRNA programs.
Can anyone share their stories, regrets, or advice?
