Hey everyone, I've been going back and forth in my mind about this every since I've finished my CNA program. Would it be wise to start filling out aplications or wait until after I've passed my state exam, I don't know I just feel weird feeling out and application and not having the credentials to show (I absolutely hate leaving the CNA license # area blank )

Start now! Some of them will hire you while you're waiting to take your certification. They will give you like a 3 month probation period to get certified. That's in the nursing home, now if you're in the hospital they expect you to have your CNA and have experience. But you never know, apply at the hospital after you get your certification, they just might hire you. Good Luck

Apply for home health agencys!
most will take you without experience and you will do mostly house work and preparing meals and such
then once you get your cert. they will give you more personal care duties and you will probably get a bit of a pay raise!
thats where I started :)

Yes. I don't know that I'm the rule, but I did get a job at an ambulatory clinic before I passed the state test. It was only part time, but I was working....
