hello my fellow nurses...i have applied for california as my initial licensure to write my nclex. Unfortunately, i failed:scrying: but i'm not giving up so i decided to retake it again this year. I dont want to have california as my initial licensure since i wouldnt have a copy of it and its hard to endorse to other state without ss #. Could you pls give me an idea as to what state to apply and just have it endorsed later. What are the steps i'm going to do. thank you....

I'm sorry to hear that. :scrying: I would suggest Vermont because you will only have to let your school forward your TOR directly to their BON (no CG interference  ) and they will issue you your license # even w/o SSN.

You can look for their website on http://www.ncsbn.org

Goodluck. :wink2:

thank you so much lawrence, i really need kind words right now...i have looked at the application of vermont for foreign nurses, there's this portion wherein i have to indicate number of hours of working experience...i dont have one that yet though i'm about to start soon with refractive surgery. can i just put N/A on it?...advises are welcome, anyone?

You can look up their website in http://www.ncsbn.org Just click the link then click on BON and look for FLorida.

You have to complete all the requirements for the Florida BON before they give you a go-signal that you can sit for the NCLEX RN after w/c you have to register to http://www.pearsonvue.com and schedule your test.

Chow. :)

I'm from the Philippines. I'd like to know if the application form from vermont is applicable in Foreign nurses. There is no indication in writing the country name. Is it better applying in Vermont than in New York? And lastly, Am I still going to attach my transcript and diploma?

Try posting this in the Int'l forum or wait for someone to move it there for you. You'll have better results
