Application proess?

Hello,

I am confused about the application process for nursing school. I have read on 2 of the local Cal state school's web sites that I need to apply for admission into nursing school AND the university. The problem with this is the state schools close off admissions almost a year in advance, so I'm not sure if I should be applying now for next year. Or is it done differently when I am applying to the nursing school?

HI Alpha,

as I understand it, each nursing school has its own pre-reqs and specific application process. It may behoove you to email the director of the nursing program or someone in charge of the admissions process. EAch school should have a website which details what needs to be done, what forms to fill out and what fees to pay. I hope this is somewhat helpful.

In my experience, you apply to the school first then you specifiy nursing as a major and there may be other forms to fill out that are specific to the nursing department.
