I am graduating from an associates degree program in May and I want to start looking for a job now. What is the best way to get started?
Should I contact nurse recruiters via e-mail?
How many hospitals should I persue?
What should I highlight in my resume?
I have so many questions. Any help would be appreciated.
TIA!

Of coures it depends where you are and what the availabilities are but remember this. . . It never hurts to ask. Used to be a new grad had no hope of going directly to critical care but no more. Some hospitals have internship programs and I would give preference to those
As far as how to go about it, I wouldn't go through HR (this was mentioned in a recent thread, can't remember which one). Find the hospital and unit you want to work and make an appt. to talk directly to the nurse manager. They will make sure you get hired if they want you.
Remember, don't be afraid to ask, the worst they can do is tell you no. Also, I know some hospitals hold job fairs specifically for new grads a couple of months before May/June graduations and if you ask now you can plan for those.
