I'm planning on applying to a CRNA program this year. I have not taken GRE, however the school i'm applying to does not require that. I've been an ICU nurse for the past two years and i'm ready to move on. I have taking advance science classes like orgo , biochem and so on and have a GPA about 3.6 . The dilemna is that I have not taken my CCRN . It seems a lot of schools recommend. Has anyone gotten into a program without CCRN? What are my chances?

I start CRNA school in 4 days and my advice is to go ahead and take the CCRN. I think it verifies that your knowledge is up to par with moving on into higher education plus its just another in feather in you hat. Can't hurt, and the only thing you have to lose is money. Good luck.
Thanks.

I got in to all the schools I interviewed at and did not have my CCRN at the time. I'm not saying you don't need it...I'm just saying it can be done.

I took my exam about a month before my interviews and I believe it really helped in my interviews. If you have time, I would at least study the material on CV and Resp.

Hey Nipi:
What school did you apply at that did not need the GRE? Do you have a list of the one that did not need it.. I'm working on my BN in Canada and plan on moving down South to do my ICU experience.. Any info would be great
Thanks

thats awsome, I needed something to take there attention away from my GPA.
i know midwestern doesn't require it. There are some school that may waive it based on yor GPA
